What is hair transplant
Hair transplant is a surgical procedure in which a specialist skin surgeon ie a “dermatological surgeon” transplants the hair onto the bald part of the head. Surgeons usually take hair from the back of your head and transplant it into the bald area in the front or center of your head. Surgeons usually perform hair transplants in their own clinic under local anesthesia.
According to experts, the cause of most cases of baldness is genetic. The remaining cases can have different causes such as your diet, stress, illness, or medicines you take.

How is a hair transplant done?
There are two hair removal techniques available to grow healthy hair on your scalp. The purpose of both techniques is the same. Both require “local anesthesia”.
When your scalp becomes numb, healthy hair follicles are pulled out from the back of your head. Follicles are hair follicles from which new hair grows.
There are two techniques for removing “follicles”:
“Follicular Unit Transplantation” or FUT –
In this technique, the skin is taken from the hairy part of the head, and stitches are applied at that place. No change is required in the hair that is being taken from the FUT technique. Due to this technique, a scar remains on the head forever but it is covered with hair and is not visible.
“Follicular Unit Extraction” or FUE –
In this technique, each hair follicle is removed separately by the “motorized punch” technique.
